Mato Grosso do Sul cities launch park revitalization and road upgrades

The municipality of Dourados has completed half of the revitalisation of Parque Victélio Pelegrini, a 135‑hectare urban park. The project, funded with R$ 3.03 million from the Itaipu Mais que Energia programme and carried out by AOG Engenharia, will add a new walking trail, skate area, community garden, upgraded sports facilities and improved lighting, with work slated to finish by the end of 2026.

In Campo Grande, the city council approved the start of asphalt paving and drainage works in the neighbourhoods of Vila Nogueira and Aimoré. The 270‑day contract, worth more than R$ 11.8 million and awarded to TST Construções, is part of the VIRA CG Infraestrutura plan that aims to modernise over 70 streets across the capital, improving road quality, storm‑water management and traffic safety.
