Cuiabá's 58th Expoagro showcases regional sertanejo acts and opens rodeo

The 58th Expoagro took place at the Centro de Eventos Senador Jonas Pinheiro in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, featuring a night dedicated to regional sertanejo music. Municipal cultural and economic development secretariats partnered to host a pre‑show "esquenta" at the city hall stand, where artists performed before moving to the main stage. Performers included Douglas Cabral, Jonathan & Adam, Ana Ju, Luzi Castro, Dé Rico and others, with many praising the municipal support for local talent.

The event also marked the opening of the Copa Mato‑grossense de Rodeio, organized by JB Rodeios. The rodeo competition began on Wednesday, 15 May, with prizes of a zero‑kilometre motorcycle for stage winners and a zero‑kilometre car for the overall champion. The combined cultural and rodeo program highlighted the municipality’s effort to promote regional culture and agro‑industrial traditions.
