Santos and Ubatuba lead delegations at 68th São Paulo Regional Games

The 68th edition of the São Paulo State Regional Games will be held in Praia Grande from 14 to 23 July 2026. Santos arrives with a 460‑person delegation – 395 athletes competing in 44 sports – and aims to defend its title. The squad includes Olympic swimmer Fernando Scheffer and 14‑year‑old Isadora Miyasiro, who will debut in senior swimming events.

Ubatuba confirmed participation in 23 disciplines, ranging from athletics and badminton to capoeira and volleyball, after a technical congress in São José dos Campos. The municipality highlighted its broad athlete roster and the opportunity to showcase local talent despite the Games being organised without lodging for delegations. Both municipalities are part of the second sports region of São Paulo, under the state Secretariat of Sports.

The competition, organized by the São Paulo State Secretariat of Sports in partnership with the host city, will feature athletes from across the state competing for medals and qualification for the Open Interior Games.
