Mato Grosso do Sul sends 252 athletes to Brazilian School Games

A delegation of 252 student-athletes from Mato Grosso do Sul is traveling to Brasília to compete in the 2026 Brazilian School Games (JEBs). The group, which includes technical staff and referees, will participate in 10 different sporting modalities, including volleyball, karate, badminton, table tennis, basketball, swimming, judo, chess, wrestling, and rhythmic gymnastics.

The competition, held in Brasília between September 13 and 26, brings together 5,417 students aged 12 to 14 from all 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. Fundesporte officials noted that the delegation possesses significant experience from previous national championships, emphasizing the event as a vital opportunity for both athletic and personal development.
