Mato Grosso emergency services respond to fires and accidents

The Military Firefighters Corps of Mato Grosso (CBMMT) is managing multiple emergencies across the state, including forest fires and several motorcycle accidents.

In terms of environmental emergencies, firefighters are actively combating a forest fire in a rural property in Rosário Oeste. Recent data from the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe) indicated multiple heat foci in the Cerrado biome. The CBMMT is also conducting 'Operação Infravermelho' to monitor irregular fire use via satellite imagery and a central situation room in Cuiabá.

Separately, the CBMMT responded to three distinct motorcycle accidents in the municipalities of Sapezal, Sorriso, and Lucas do Rio Verde. These incidents involved victims ranging from an unconscious individual on the BR-364 to an 18-year-old involved in a collision with a truck in Lucas do Rio Verde.
