Mato Grosso police complete specialized civil disturbance course

The Mato Grosso Military Police, through the Tactical Mobile Ostensive Patrol Battalion (Rotam), held a graduation ceremony in Cuiabá for the 4th Specialization Course in Civil Disturbance Control. The 48-day training program produced 19 graduates, including officers from the Mato Grosso Military Police, the Federal Highway Police (PRF), and security forces from the state of Rondônia.

The curriculum focused on managing complex scenarios such as prison rebellions, large-scale sporting events, and social demonstrations involving disorder. Training covered operational, legal, and humanitarian aspects, including human rights, the progressive use of force, first aid, and crisis management.

State Secretary of Public Security, Colonel Susane Tamanho, noted that the training aligns with the state government’s “Tolerância Zero às Facções Criminosas” (Zero Tolerance for Criminal Factions) program, which aims to strengthen security forces and combat crime through increased investment in training and operational resources.
