Mato Grosso reports multiple incidents of domestic violence

Multiple incidents of domestic violence and gender-based crimes have been reported across Mato Grosso, Brazil. In Sorriso, a 20-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband six times while he slept, claiming she had a dream of his infidelity. The victim was treated by the Fire Department and taken to a health unit.

In Primavera do Leste, a 19-year-old man was arrested for threatening his partner with a kitchen knife and physically assaulting her in front of their eight-month-old daughter. Meanwhile, in Ponta Porã, a 25-year-old man was caught by police attempting to strangle a woman, despite her having an active protective order against him.

Other reported incidents include a woman in Campo Verde who filmed herself burning her husband's car following a suspected betrayal, and a 20-year-old man in Presidente Kennedy arrested for threatening his mother with a knife. These events coincide with regional efforts to strengthen protection networks and forums against violence toward women in the state.
