Matsuya introduces new Chinese-style chicken and spicy curry menus

Japanese restaurant chain Matsuya is introducing new menu items to its nationwide locations.

On October 20, 2026, the company will launch the ‘Goro Chiki Chili Sauce’ series. This Chinese-style menu features large pieces of chicken coated in a special sweet and sour chili sauce made with doubanjiang, served over fluffy eggs. Options include a set meal for 990 yen, a bowl-style arrangement, or an individual portion for 790 yen.

Additionally, Matsuya has released the ‘Neo Kashmir Curry’ as a limited-time offering. Adapted from a popular menu item at the ‘My Curry Shokudo’ specialty shop, this curry features a thin, dark brown roux with a complex, spicy, and slightly bitter flavor profile. The curry is priced at 680 yen and is noted for its intense heat.
