Matt Dinniman's 'Dungeon Crawler Carl' TV Adaptation Moves Forward

Author Matt Dinniman’s LitRPG series *Dungeon Crawler Carl* has grown from a self‑published novel in 2020 to a multi‑media franchise that includes audiobooks, comics, games and a live‑action television series in development for Peacock.

Speaking at San Diego Comic‑Con, Dinniman said his sole condition for handing the adaptation rights to a studio was that the writer‑producer must have read and understood the books. He confirmed that Chris Yost, a fan who follows Dinniman on Patreon, was chosen to write and executive‑produce the show, ensuring the core tone of the series is preserved while allowing necessary changes for TV.
