Mattel and BBC Studios expand Bluey licensing deal
Mattel and BBC Studios have announced a multi-year global licensing partnership to integrate the animated series ‘Bluey’ into several major toy brands. The collaboration will expand the presence of the Australian series across five of Mattel’s established franchises: Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price Little People, Polly Pocket, and UNO.
Specific product plans include Barbie Cutie Reveal dolls dressed as Bluey and Bingo, Hot Wheels vehicles inspired by the series, and Fisher-Price Little People playsets featuring characters such as Bandit and Chilli. The partnership will also extend to Polly Pocket compact playsets and Bluey-themed UNO card games.
The first wave of products is expected to launch globally in fall 2026. The animated series, produced by Ludo Studio, has seen significant commercial success, including being ranked as the most-streamed show in the world for the years 2024 and 2025.
