Maui and Maine see June housing market gains in sales and prices

The REALTORS Association of Maui reported that June home sales rose sharply, with single‑family resales increasing 16.4% year‑over‑year to 78 transactions and the median price climbing 4.4% to $1,356,975. Condominium sales jumped 51.7% to 88 units, though the median price fell 8.8% to $625,000. RAM President Georgie Tamayose said, “June’s numbers show that buyers are still active when the right opportunities come along.”

In Maine, the median home‑sale price reached a historic $436,000 in June, a 2.56% rise from the previous year, while overall sales volume grew 7.31%. Judy Oberg, president of the Maine Association of Realtors, noted, “Buyers remain active statewide, having increased negotiating leverage in areas where there are more homes for sale.” County‑level data showed strong volume gains in Aroostook and Androscoggin, with price spikes in Oxford County.
