Ushuaia launches gastronomy training for women
The Municipality of Ushuaia has launched a new training phase of the ‘Mujeres en Marcha’ program, focusing on barista, waitress, and event services skills. Approximately 70 participants have begun the course, which consists of 12 sessions designed to provide practical tools for entering or advancing within the local gastronomy and services sector.
Developed in partnership with the Union of Hotel, Gastronomy, and Tourism Workers of the Argentine Republic (UTHGRA), the training takes place at the union's local headquarters. Officials noted that the initiative aims to foster economic autonomy for women and diverse groups in response to a difficult economic climate. The program seeks to bridge the gap between community needs and local employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.
