Indonesia observes Maulid Nabi with religious and social events

Various communities, government agencies, and organizations across Indonesia are holding events to commemorate Maulid Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad. These observances emphasize following the Prophet's character and teachings in daily life.

In several regions, local governments and law enforcement agencies are using the occasion for spiritual guidance. The Padang City government encouraged civil servants to improve public service based on Islamic values, while police departments in Bengkulu Selatan and Serdang Bedagai urged officers to maintain professionalism and wisdom. The military in Surabaya also held a ceremony to strengthen the commitment of soldiers to the nation.

Community-led celebrations include social initiatives, such as students at MIN 3 Banyumas participating in local cleaning and charity activities, and a large-scale coastal event in Makassar featuring fishing boats. In Bintan, the commemoration included infrastructure inaugurations and aid for the underprivileged. Additionally, the business association ASPRINDO held a discussion on using productive endowments (wakaf) to strengthen the economy of the community.
