Max Verstappen criticizes Formula 1 regulations and future direction

Max Verstappen has expressed significant criticism regarding the current state of Formula 1, both in terms of technical regulations and the long-term direction of the sport. Commentators have noted that modern car and power unit regulations may be limiting the ability of elite drivers to compensate for technical shortcomings, potentially neutralizing some of Verstappen’s unique driving qualities.

Looking beyond his current competitive career, Verstappen has indicated a desire to influence the sport's evolution. He has suggested that if given the opportunity to design a racing series, he would implement major changes to engines, race calendars, and weekend formats. While currently contracted to Red Bull through 2030, Verstappen continues to explore unconventional motorsport projects and remains in discussions with Red Bull regarding future entertainment and racing challenges.
