Max Verstappen critiques energy use and radio remarks after Belgian Grand Prix

After finishing third at the Belgian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen explained that he expended too much energy between turns 1 and 2 and saw a low battery charge before Eau Rouge, warning that the speed differential could cause an "air disaster" if the cars touch. He said the second free‑practice session gave a more realistic picture of the power balance, noting that Red Bull's electric boost was slower on the straights compared with rivals.

Verstappen also called a radio comment about down‑shifts "unacceptable", later softening his tone and saying he is keen to work on the issue. Red Bull technical director Pierre Waché said the team will soon return to using the tricky rear wing configuration. Overall, Verstappen expressed satisfaction with the weekend despite the energy‑management challenges and looked forward to the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, where a slower, twistier circuit may ease the battery strain.
