Max Verstappen demands performance stability from Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing faces a challenging 2026 Formula 1 season, characterized by internal competition and technical inconsistencies. Following the first 11 races, four-time World Champion Max Verstappen leads teammate Isack Hadjar with 109 points to 68. While Verstappen holds an advantage in qualifying with an 8-3 head-to-head record and is on average 0.136 seconds faster per lap, Hadjar has managed to close the gap in several sessions.

Verstappen has issued a clear directive to the team regarding the RB22 performance. He is calling for increased overall speed and, more critically, greater stability. The driver noted that the car frequently suffers from unexpected drops in performance during race weekends or throughout the duration of a Grand Prix. Red Bull remains the only top-tier team without a victory in the 2026 season, and the team is now focused on making the RB22 a consistent contender for wins in the second half of the year.
