Celebrity Traitors season 2 sees high viewership and strategic shifts

The second season of the BBC reality series ‘Celebrity Traitors’ has drawn significant viewership, with recent episodes reaching peak audiences of over 10 million viewers. The current roster of Traitors includes Maya Jama, James Acaster, and King Kenny.

Recent gameplay has been marked by high-stakes challenges and controversial twists. In one mission, the Traitors attempted to murder a ‘Faithful’ player by inducing a yawn through boredom. The episode saw the elimination of Ross Kemp, while comedian Miranda Hart was also recently murdered in the castle.

Controversy has surrounded the production, with some viewers and commentators questioning the impact of producer-led twists, such as the introduction of a ‘double vote’ dagger that was awarded to the Traitors. Additionally, comedian Daisy May Cooper previously revealed that she and her brother Charlie withdrew from the first series due to concerns regarding living arrangements and financial compensation.
