Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas unveils $31 million boulevard upgrade in Nuevo Laredo
Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal formally handed over the rehabilitation of the over‑pass and the resurfacing of the boulevard Aeropuerto in the southern part of Nuevo Laredo. The works, costing more than 31.4 million pesos, are intended to improve road safety, reduce travel times and provide new traffic alternatives for residents, private motorists and freight operators.
The project is part of a broader municipal modernization plan that also includes lane expansions on Avenida Monterrey and new circulatory routes, coordinated with the state governor Américo Villarreal Anaya and funded through CAPUFE. Local resident María Santos praised the renewed infrastructure, while the mayor emphasized that further phases will continue to strengthen connectivity to the airport and national road network.
