Mayor De Luca rules out secondary list for Euro 2032 stadium bids

Salerno mayor Vincenzo De Luca said there will be no “list B” for the selection of cities to host matches of Euro 2032. He explained that stadium candidates will be chosen solely on the basis of preparation and organisational capacity, with cities ready in time being selected and those lagging behind excluded.

De Luca noted that Salerno’s bid is being evaluated alongside other southern Italian cities, specifically Palermo and Bari, and emphasized that the competition will be decided on merit, with the best‑prepared city winning the hosting rights.
