Mayor Leo Bezerra donates land to Paraíba State Court

Mayor Leo Bezerra of João Pessoa signed a law on Thursday, 25 May, that formally transfers a municipal plot in the Altiplano Cabo Branco neighbourhood to the Tribunal de Justiça da Paraíba (TJPB). The land, used since 2002 under a real‑use concession, houses the Escola Superior da Magistratura (ESMA) and the Corregedoria‑Geral de Justiça (CGJ).

The legislation makes the property part of the court’s assets, securing its continued use for judicial activities and allowing revocation if the purpose changes. The signing was attended by TJPB President Justice Fred Coutinho, municipal Prosecutor‑General Bruno Nóbrega and other judiciary officials, who praised the act as a strengthening of cooperation between municipal and judicial powers.
