Mayor Leo Bezerra welcomes pilgrimage image of Nossa Senhora das Neves in João Pessoa

Mayor Leo Bezerra of João Pessoa received the pilgrimage image of Nossa Senhora das Neves on Tuesday, 14 April, as part of the city’s anniversary celebrations. The ceremony took place at the Centro Administrativo Municipal (CAM) in the Água Fria district and was attended by first‑lady Bruna Nóbrega, her mother Fátima Araújo, municipal secretaries and city employees.

The mayor said, “I pray to God and to Nossa Senhora das Neves to bless our city, all Joãos‑pesserinos, Paraíba’s people and our visitors.” He highlighted that the image’s presence symbolizes unity, hope and wisdom for governing the capital. The pilgrimage, which also visits parishes and public institutions, concluded with a mass led by Father Luiz José of the Basilica of Nossa Senhora das Neves. Secretary of Government Management Vitor Cavalcante and staff member Ana Maria dos Santos remarked on the event’s inspirational value for public service.
