Mazara del Vallo implements port restrictions for San Vito fireworks

The local Coast Guard in Mazara del Vallo has issued safety ordinances and navigation restrictions ahead of the traditional San Vito fireworks display. The pyrotechnic show, commissioned by the municipality, is scheduled for the night of Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Molo di Ponente of the Porto Nuovo.

To ensure public safety, Commander Stefano Luciani has prohibited the transit and parking of people and vehicles along the entire Molo di Ponente and within a 200-meter radius of the pier entrance. Maritime restrictions include a total ban on navigation, transit, and mooring for all vessels within 200 meters of the launch site. Exceptions are granted only to authorized personnel, including emergency services, police, and the event's technical crew.
