Mazara del Vallo issues asbestos toy alert and local service updates

The Municipality of Mazara del Vallo has issued several public service announcements regarding local administration and safety.

A serious health alert has been issued concerning an orange, carrot-shaped elastic toy manufactured by Trendhaus (model 967176, lot 2025 = CH33287). The toy, which is approximately 17 centimeters long and filled with sand, has been found to contain tremolite asbestos. The risk level is classified as serious, and the product has been distributed in Italy.

Regarding local services, the municipality has opened applications for free 2027 AST extra-urban transport passes for eligible residents meeting specific ISEE income requirements. Additionally, the municipality is implementing the ‘Custodi di Quarara’ experimental initiative at Cala di Malavia, involving citizen volunteers to monitor and maintain the area. Finally, the local administration has announced the distribution schedule for hunting licenses for the 2026/2027 season.
