Mazatlán to host free medical services and community outreach

Mazatlán will host several initiatives to provide free medical and social services to its residents. From August 17 to 21, the municipal government, in coordination with Fundación Grupo México’s Dr. Vagón, will offer comprehensive healthcare at the Santa Elena railway station. The Dr. Vagón health train features 18 equipped wagons and 75 health professionals, providing general medicine, dentistry, specialized consultations, laboratory studies, and telemedicine. Services also include women’s health clinics, diabetes care, visual and hearing health, and the distribution of free medications and eyeglasses.

Additionally, the Mazatlán Red Cross (Cruz Roja) is resuming its medical outreach programs in peripheral neighborhoods and rural communities. On Saturday, August 15, the organization will hold a session in the Urías neighborhood. Beyond general medicine and dentistry, this initiative includes legal advice, veterinary services, educational activities for youth, and the distribution of clothing packages to families in need.
