Mazda confirms new CX-3 generation for 2027 production
Mazda has officially confirmed the return of the CX-3 crossover, with the new generation scheduled to enter production in 2027. The announcement was made through the company's financial presentations, indicating the project is in an advanced stage of preparation.
The new CX-3 is expected to serve as an entry-level SUV in Mazda's lineup, targeting high-volume segments in Asia, Oceania, and other global markets. While specific technical details remain unconfirmed, reports suggest the vehicle will utilize a Mazda platform and offer various powertrain options, including gasoline, mild hybrid, and full hybrid systems. The design is expected to follow the Kodo styling language, appearing more robust and vertical, similar to the CX-30.
Production is slated to take place at the AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) facility. Units manufactured in Thailand will be exported to Japan, ASEAN markets, and other international regions.
