Mazda CX-5 prices drop in Vietnam ahead of new model launch

The Mazda CX-5 is seeing significant price reductions at dealerships in Vietnam as it enters the final stage of its current lifecycle. In Hanoi, the 2.0 Deluxe standard version is being offered at 659 million VND, which is 40 million VND below its listed price. Other 2.0L variants are also receiving discounts ranging from 40 to 80 million VND.

These price cuts bring the CX-5's cost close to several B-segment SUVs. For instance, the Mitsubishi Xforce can reach an effective price of approximately 648 million VND due to registration fee support, while the Toyota Yaris HEV can be priced around 658 million VND. The CX-5 maintains a competitive edge in terms of size and space compared to these smaller models.

The price adjustments coincide with preparations for a new generation of the CX-5. THACO is expected to upgrade production lines to assemble the next generation, which is anticipated to launch in Vietnam around November. Currently, the CX-5 remains the leader in the C-SUV segment in Vietnam, with 10,444 cumulative sales in the first eight months of the year, outpacing competitors like the VinFast VF 7 and Ford Territory.
