Mazda expands Indonesian operations: CX-30 assembly and new CX-5 launch

Mazda Motor Corporation announced that it will start local assembly of the CX‑30 in Indonesia from July 29, 2026. Production will be handled by PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia and its subsidiary PT Eurokars Produksi Pratama on a dedicated Mazda line, supporting the company’s Lean Asset Strategy and aiming to strengthen its presence in the ASEAN market. Senior Executive Officer Toru Nakajima highlighted Indonesia’s importance as a growth market.

At the 2026 Indonesia International Auto Show, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia unveiled the all‑new Mazda CX‑5. The third‑generation SUV features updated KODO design, a more spacious cabin and two trim levels: a Sport Edition priced at about Rp 599 million and a Kuro Edition at roughly Rp 689.9 million. Chief Operating Officer Ricky Thio emphasized the model’s blend of design, technology and Japanese craftsmanship.
