Mazda CX-6e electric SUV debuts in Europe

Mazda has launched the CX-6e, a new mid-sized electric SUV developed through an industrial collaboration with Changan. Designed specifically for the European market, the vehicle utilizes a Chinese-made platform to expand Mazda’s electric offerings.

The CX-6e features a 78 kWh LFP battery paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 258 hp (190 kW) and 290 Nm of torque. Depending on the wheel configuration, the vehicle offers a WLTP range between 468 km and 484 km. Performance specifications include an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.6 to 7.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to around 175–185 km/h.

Interior technology is a significant focus, highlighted by a 26.45-inch dashboard display, a 23-speaker audio system, and advanced features such as gesture control and digital side mirrors that use OLED screens. The vehicle’s design follows the Kodo-Soul of Motion aesthetic, emphasizing aerodynamics and a dynamic silhouette.
