Mazda introduces new model updates in Taiwan and Australia

In Taiwan, Mazda confirmed that the 2027 model-year Mazda 3 and CX‑30 will retain the 2.0‑litre Skyactiv‑G naturally aspirated gasoline engine, foregoing the 2.5‑litre mild‑hybrid unit adopted in Japan. The Taiwanese versions will also receive a suite of safety and driver‑assist upgrades, including ELK lane‑keeping assistance, SBS smart front‑brake with opposite‑vehicle avoidance detection, and ALH intelligent headlights with night‑time pedestrian marking. The facelift of the CX‑5 is also slated for later in the year.

In Australia, Mazda announced 2026 updates for the CX‑60 SUV. Pricing has been adjusted: the D50e diesel trim is $1,100 cheaper, while the P50e plug‑in hybrid sees a $7,150 price cut. New safety equipment becomes standard across the range, such as front cross‑traffic assist, cruising and traffic‑support, and driver emergency assist. Mazda Connected Services with an embedded eSIM and MyMazda app integration are now included, offering emergency SOS, geofencing, vehicle location and other remote functions. A new Polymetal Grey Metallic paint option is also added.
