Automakers expand electrified vehicle lineups in Asia and Europe

Automakers are expanding their electrified vehicle offerings across various global markets. In the Philippines, Mitsubishi Motors has introduced the 2027 Outlander PHEV, a flagship plug-in hybrid SUV featuring a 2.4-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors, offering a combined range of nearly 1,000 kilometers. Mazda is also strengthening its presence in the region; the company has launched the third-generation Mazda CX-5 hybrid (HEV) in the Philippines and confirmed that plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models will join the lineup within the next year.

In Europe, Mazda is introducing the all-electric CX-6e SUV this August. Developed through collaboration between European and Japanese design teams, the CX-6e utilizes the Kodo design philosophy and features aerodynamic enhancements such as digital side mirrors. The vehicle aims to balance a progressive, technical appearance with the brand’s signature sense of movement.
