Mazda to Cease Production of Mazda2 Compact Car

Mazda Motor Corporation announced that its compact hatchback Mazda2 will be discontinued, with production ending by the close of fiscal year 2026. The final version, the 15 SPORT+ grade, is equipped with a 1.5‑litre inline‑four engine delivering 110 hp, larger wheels, a suede‑styled interior and electric power seats, and is priced at roughly ¥2.5 million. The move reflects Mazda’s shift toward larger and electrified models in its lineup.
