Mazda unveils CX-6e electric SUV developed with Changan

Mazda has introduced its new all-electric SUV, the CX-6e, marking a significant step in the company’s transition toward electrification. Developed in collaboration with the Chinese manufacturer Changan, the CX-6e utilizes a technical foundation shared with the Mazda 6e (known as the EZ-6 in China).

The CX-6e is a rear-wheel-drive SUV measuring 4.85 meters in length. It is equipped with a 78 kWh LFP battery, delivering 258 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers a WLTP-rated range of 484 kilometers and supports DC fast charging up to 200 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 24 minutes.

In Greece, the model made its public debut at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, where Japan is the guest of honor. The vehicle features Mazda’s evolving Kodo design language, described as ‘Soulful Futuristic Modern,’ and an interior focused on the ‘Jinba Ittai’ philosophy of driver-vehicle harmony. The starting price in the Greek market is set at 45,850 euros, which can be reduced to 42,850 euros through state subsidies.
