Mazda updates Mazda3 and CX-30 with new tech and engines
Mazda is introducing significant updates to its Mazda3 and CX-30 models, focusing on enhanced powertrain options, advanced safety technology, and interior upgrades.
The Mazda3 facelift, scheduled for release starting in August 2026, will feature the new e-SKYACTIV G 2.5 mild-hybrid system. This update replaces the previous 2.0-litre and 1.8-litre diesel engines. The 2.5-litre variant will offer a 6-speed manual transmission option for certain 2WD models. Additionally, the Mazda3 will receive upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including improved blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assistance, and intersection collision prevention.
In the Australian market, the CX-30 range has expanded to include new G25 Evolve SP and G25 GT grades, utilizing a larger 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. These updates, which also apply to the Mazda3, include additional standard safety equipment and new paint finishes, such as Zinc Green Metallic. Due to these enhancements, prices for the CX-30 have increased by up to $1,000 across various trim levels.
