Mazda vehicle lineup updates

Overview

Mazda is implementing product updates and powertrain expansions for its current vehicle lineup, specifically targeting the Mazda3 and CX-30 models.

For the Mazda3, the company is introducing product improvements to extend the lifecycle of the current BP series. A facelift scheduled to begin in August 2026 will feature the new e-SKYACTIV G 2.5 mild-hybrid system, replacing the previous 2.0-litre and 1.8-litre diesel engines. This 2.5-litre variant will offer a 6-speed manual transmission option for certain 2WD models. Safety enhancements for the Mazda3 include upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as improved blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assistance, and intersection collision prevention. A full model change is anticipated in 2028 or later.

The CX-30 crossover is receiving technical and aesthetic refinements for the 2027 model year, including improved matrix LED headlight functionality and enhanced automatic emergency braking systems. In the UK, the range is expanding from 17 to 21 combinations, including a new ‘Homura Plus’ trim featuring black exterior detailing and ventilated front seats. In the Australian market, the CX-30 range has expanded to include new G25 Evolve SP and G25 GT grades utilizing a larger 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. These updates include additional standard safety equipment and new paint finishes, such as ‘Zinc Green Metallic’. Due to these enhancements, prices for the CX-30 have increased by up to $1,000 across various trim levels.

Engine options for the CX-30 include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine and a 2.0 SkyActiv X mild hybrid engine with all-wheel drive availability. Interior updates include new color options, high-quality materials such as denim-like gray upholstery, and enhanced driver monitoring technology.
