Mazda updates SUV lineup with new CX-5 generation and CX-30 trims

Mazda is introducing significant updates to its SUV lineup, including a new generation for the CX-5 and updated trim options for the CX-30.

The 2026 Mazda CX-5 represents a new generation, featuring a larger body, increased length, and improved rear-seat and cargo space compared to the 2025 model. While the new model offers updated cabin technology and a cleaner trim structure, the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine available in the 2025 version will not be included in the U.S. 2026 lineup.

In the CX-30 lineup, three primary grades under 3 million yen are available: the 20C, 20S, and 20G. All three utilize a 2.0L mild hybrid engine with 156ps and 199Nm of torque. The 20C serves as the entry-level option focusing on essential safety and performance, while the 20S is positioned as a balanced choice with improved technology like a 10.25-inch display and wireless Apple CarPlay. The 20G focuses on aesthetics, featuring 18-inch aluminum wheels and adaptive LED headlights.
