MCC extends NEET UG 2026 Round 1 choice filling deadline

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for Round 1 choice filling for the NEET UG 2026 counselling process. Registered candidates now have until 11:59 PM on August 18 to submit and lock their preferred medical and dental colleges through the official portal.

This first phase of counselling is essential for securing MBBS and BDS seats across the All India Quota (AIQ), central universities, and deemed medical institutions. Following the closure of the choice-filling window, the MCC will process seat allotments, with results expected to be declared on August 19. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective institutes between August 20 and August 25, 2026.
