McDonald's Japan rolls out summer promos with discounted Chicken McNuggets and new Morinaga desserts
From July 15 to August 11, McDonald’s Japan is running a "Tokuniraldo" campaign that lowers the price of the 15‑piece Chicken McNuggets (with three sauces) to ¥490, a ¥250 discount from the regular price. The nuggets are offered in a limited‑edition Pokémon‑design package celebrating Nintendo’s 55th anniversary and Pokémon’s 30th, and two new seasonal sauces – cheese‑curry and umami‑salt garlic – are available alongside the classic barbecue and mustard options.
At the same time, McDonald’s Japan is partnering with confectionery maker Morinaga to sell a "Mc’s Morinaga Sweets" line from July 15 through mid‑August. The range includes a chocolate‑ball McFlurry, a Morinaga‑flavored milk‑caramel pie, and a Morinaga ramune‑flavored McShake, each priced from ¥190 to ¥370. These items bring Morinaga’s popular candy and soda flavors into the fast‑food chain for the limited summer period.
