McDonald's opens second Grosseto outlet and a horse‑riding stunt goes viral at Barletta

Construction began on July 29 at the Aurelia Antica shopping centre in Grosseto to build the city’s second McDonald’s restaurant, featuring a McDrive service. The project, finalized by a notarised land transfer, aims to complete the build by the end of the year with an opening scheduled for December 2026.

Separately, a group of young riders arrived at the McDrive lane of the McDonald’s on Via Foggia in Barletta on horseback, creating a viral video that spread across social media platforms. The stunt drew surprise from staff and customers and prompted jokes about the cost of gasoline and the novelty of a "McRide."
