McDonald’s replaces Pumpkin Spice Latte with Caramel Apple Pie
McDonald’s has removed its Pumpkin Spice Latte from its seasonal autumn menu for 2026, ending a tradition that had been in place since 2013. The company is replacing the beverage with a new Caramel Apple Pie flavor, which combines apple and caramel syrup to draw inspiration from the chain’s classic apple pie product.
This shift reflects a strategy to diversify seasonal beverage offerings. While competitors continue to focus on pumpkin flavors, McDonald’s is pivoting toward flavors like caramel, apple, and cinnamon, which data from DoorDash suggests are in high demand during the autumn season. The Caramel Apple Pie drink is being offered for a limited time at selected United States locations. A company spokesperson noted that while the Pumpkin Spice Latte is absent this season, the decision is not a permanent removal.
