McLaren CEO Zak Brown denies Verstappen transfer talks and details team cultural overhaul

McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown told reporters there have been no discussions with four‑time champion Max Verstappen about a move to the team for the 2027 season, describing the circulating reports as rumors. He said, "These are rumors? There were no conversations," and added that the team is satisfied with its current driver lineup.

In a separate interview, Brown outlined the cultural transformation he has overseen at McLaren since taking charge. He said the team moved away from a blame‑focused environment toward a collaborative, problem‑solving culture, crediting team principal Andrea Stella and a refreshed technical structure for the change. The new approach, he explained, is intended to foster safety, cohesion, and performance across the organisation.
