MDDA demolishes five bighas of illegal plotting in Dehradun

The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has intensified its crackdown on unauthorized construction and illegal land plotting within its jurisdiction. In a recent operation in Jhajhra, authorities demolished illegal plotting activities covering approximately five bighas of land. The action was taken after inspections revealed that demarcation and plotting were being conducted without approved layout maps.

To maintain effective control, the MDDA has organized sector-wise teams to monitor construction and plotting activities across various regions, including Vikasnagar, Sahaspur, Rishikesh, Raipur, and Doiwala. The authority stated that its campaign is not limited to small-scale structures but also targets large buildings and commercial constructions that violate regulations.

MDDA officials have urged the public to verify the legal status and approved layouts of any land before purchasing to avoid future complications regarding roads, parking, drainage, and other civic amenities.
