Unnao-Shuklaganj unauthorized real estate crackdown

The Unnao-Shuklaganj Development Authority (USDA) conducted a major crackdown on unauthorized real estate developments in Sheikha Basapur village, located under Sadar Tehsil in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Using bulldozers, an enforcement team supported by local police and administrative personnel dismantled unauthorized demarcations, boundary walls, and temporary infrastructure.

The demolished illegal plot spans approximately 10 bighas and has an estimated market value of around Rs 13 crore. According to USDA Secretary and City Magistrate Manoj Kumar Singh, the action was taken after developers, including Pradeep Rajput, Raju Rawat, and Suresh Shukla, were found selling plots without approved maps or necessary statutory clearances.

This anti-encroachment drive was initiated following directives from the District Magistrate to curb the growth of unauthorized colonies and unapproved real estate projects within the district. Authorities stated that strict legal action will continue against developers and colonizers who undertake plotting without approved layouts from the development authority.
