Medical centers in Croatia and Bosnia receive ultrasound equipment donations
Medical facilities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have received significant donations of advanced ultrasound equipment to improve diagnostic capabilities.
In Split, Croatia, the Clinical Hospital Center (KBC Split) acquired a modern ultrasound system valued at 51,750 euros. Donated by seven companies, including Quatro Company d.o.o. and Stanovi Jadran d.d., the equipment is designated for the Intensive Care Unit for cardiac surgery patients. Medical staff noted the device will allow for rapid, non-invasive assessment of heart function and blood flow, reducing the need for patient transport and improving the safety of invasive procedures.
In Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the University Clinical Center received a mobile ultrasound machine worth over 50,300 marks. The donation was facilitated through cooperation between the Srce Association for children with cancer, the Vakuf Directorate, and the Tuzla Muftiate. The mobile unit will be used in neonatology, pediatric clinics, and intensive care to enable early detection of congenital heart defects and other organ issues in newborns.
