Medical Congress in Rio Preto Focuses on Stroke Care

The Associação Paulista de Medicina (APM) – Regional São José do Rio Preto, in partnership with Funfarme, is hosting the 25th Congresso Médico do Oeste Paulista – CardioStroke from 23 to 26 September 2026 at the Sociedade de Medicina e Cirurgia de Rio Preto. The congress, marking the centenary of the host society, centers on the theme “Integração Neurocardiovascular: do coração ao cérebro,” with a primary focus on cerebrovascular accidents (stroke), a leading cause of death and disability in Brazil.

The four‑day program targets neurologists, cardiologists, emergency physicians, general clinicians and other health‑care professionals, covering acute ischemic stroke therapies, neuro‑intervention, hemorrhagic stroke, antithrombotic strategies, care‑system organization, prevention, atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation, cardio‑intervention, rehabilitation and post‑stroke complications. An interdisciplinary symposium and clinical case sessions will promote a 360° approach to stroke management. Scientific paper submissions are open from 1 June to 11 September, with selected works incorporated into the agenda.
