Medical counselling updates: NEET UG 2026 results and NEET MDS 2026 revised schedules

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) in Tamil Nadu has released the Round 1 seat allotment results for NEET UG 2026. Candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admissions under both Government and Management quotas can access their allotment orders through the official Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee website.

The window to download allotment orders is open from August 27 until September 5, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Candidates must complete document verification and confirm their admission at their allotted colleges by the September 5 deadline.

Separately, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a revised counselling schedule for NEET MDS 2026. This update covers the All India Quota, Deemed, Central, and State Quotas, as well as AFMS seats. For the All India Quota and Deemed Universities, the first round of counselling is scheduled from August 18 to September 2, 2026, with a final joining deadline of September 11. State-level counselling for Round 1 will run from August 21 to September 7, 2026.
