Medical tuition fees in Poland to rise for 2026/2027 academic year

Tuition fees for higher education in Poland are set to increase significantly for the 2026/2027 academic year, with medical and dental programs experiencing the highest costs.

At the Warsaw Medical University, annual fees for medicine have reached 68.5 thousand PLN, totaling 417 thousand PLN for the full course. Dentistry at the same institution is even more expensive, with annual costs reaching 83.6 thousand PLN.

Jagiellonian University reports annual fees of 68 thousand PLN for medicine and 70 thousand PLN for dentistry. The total cost for a dental degree at Jagiellonian is estimated at 450 thousand PLN. Meanwhile, the University of Wrocław has set annual fees for dentistry at nearly 59 thousand PLN and medicine at 53 thousand PLN.

These price hikes are attributed to a higher number of high school graduates, a demographic shift resulting from educational reforms implemented over a decade ago. The Ministry of Health has not yet released the official limits for available places in public medical universities for the upcoming year.
