Taranto Mediterranean Games 2026: venues, broadcast and environmental plans

The 2026 Mediterranean Games will be held in Taranto, Italy from 21 August to 3 September, with athletes from 26 Mediterranean countries competing.

The PuliAmo environmental committee is finalising sustainability measures just 20 days before the opening ceremony, which will be aired live on Rai 2 and presented by Arianna Secondini and Angelo Mellone.

Rai will provide more than 100 hours of coverage across Rai 2, Rai Sport and RaiPlay, including daily 30‑minute updates and extensive live reporting of the events.

Grottaglie is preparing the road‑closure plan for the Games’ cycling competition scheduled for 24 August, ensuring safety and traffic management for participants and spectators.
