Mediterranean Games: Spanish shooting silver and padel updates

At the XX Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy, Spanish shooters Mar Molné and Andrés García secured the silver medal in the mixed clay pigeon shooting event. The duo finished with 34 points, trailing the gold-medal winning Turkish pair, Safiye Temizdemir and Yavuz Ilnam, who scored 36 points. Italy took the bronze with 23 points.

In the padel competition, Portuguese siblings Sofia and Pedro Araújo, the tournament's top seeds, won their opening mixed match against Cyprus's Sergios Kyratzis and Maria Siopacha with a score of 6-2, 6-2. Meanwhile, the Greek duo of Pavlos-Louis Balafas and Christina Styliani Ntanou achieved a notable upset by defeating the fourth-seeded Tunisian pair to reach the semifinals.
