MEGA's new drama series “Two Black Shirts” starts filming in Crete

Greek broadcaster MEGA has begun production on its upcoming drama series “Two Black Shirts,” adapted from Menios Sakellaropoulos’ novel. Filming started in Crete and will continue in Athens, with a cast that includes Basileios Bispikis, Antonis Myriagkos and Marian Kimmoulli. The story follows two close friends whose lives are upended by a woman who returns a long‑buried secret from the 1980s, sparking betrayals and revelations. The series is produced by Panos Papachatzis and directed by Marios Karamanis and Kostas Kimmoulis, with a screenplay by Emmanouela Alexiou.

The production aims to bring a suspense‑filled tale of friendship, love and hidden trauma to the Greek TV audience, and marks a major scripted effort for MEGA in the upcoming 2026‑2027 season.
