Meghan Markle’s signed book for Princess Eugenie listed on eBay

A first-edition copy of the children’s book ‘The Bench’ by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, appeared for sale on eBay with a personal inscription addressed to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. The book was listed for approximately £20,000 ($24,000 to $38,000 depending on the source) by London-based specialist bookseller Drive Easy’s Signed Books.

The handwritten note, dated 2021, reads: “Dear Eug & Jack, celebrating the special bond between father and son. I wrote this poem at Frogmore – I hope that Eug. You witness the same love there with your guys. All love, Megh.” The inscription references Frogmore Cottage, where the Princess and her husband resided following the Sussexes' move to the United States.

While the seller described the item as a “masterpiece of modern royal history,” the authenticity of the signature has not been officially confirmed, and a spokesperson for Meghan declined to comment. The listing attracted significant attention online before it was either sold or withdrawn from the platform.
